Book Tropes - Forced proximity, Second chance romance, Enemies to lovers, Friends to lovers

The story follows Cal, the youngest Kane brother who has struggled with addiction for over a decade. While some would say that he has the kind of life most would envy, there always seem to be roadblocks in his path to happiness. And some of those roadblocks are Cal himself; he’s his own worst enemy. Therefore, it brings out the worst in Cal when an inheritance demands him to spend the summer with Alana, the woman whose heart he broke six years ago and then persuade her to sell the property she calls home. Despite the fact that Cal has loved Alana for years, throughout their time apart, her heart has become harder.
Living together, even for a short time, puts their relationship to the test in a way that neither of them could have anticipated. Either it will put an end to them permanently or it will be the catalyst for Cal to start holding himself to higher standards.

Cal is still having a hard time moving on and trying to put his childhood in the past. Cal's drinking and attempts to quit smoking are encouraged by his father's criticism, but once he realises that he might have a chance to get Lana back, he finally makes a concerted effort to change for the better. Cal is also helping his brothers win over their father, which motivates him even more. The brothers' dynamic is so adorable; even though they are all attempting to be more helpful and brotherly towards one another, it comes off as awkwardly charming. Both of Cal's brothers have their own tasks to complete before their time is up.

Apart from Cal’s brothers, we also have their adorable wives Iris and Zahra. The trio has their own family chat with funny interactions and advice for when Cal needs help understanding Lana’s feelings. Cal is awkward among his brother yet cute around his sisters-in-law.

So if you’ve been following the Dreamland Billionaires series you definitely have to finish the trilogy with Cal. If you are new to the series, then I recommend you start from the beginning for more adventures with the Kane brothers and their cute & steamy romances.
